About US

The Invictus Electrical story is one of experience, hard work and environmental conscience. Its president and founder, Christine Hand Dertinger, created the company as state and federal incentives for commercial and residential Photovoltaic projects began to increase and the horizon became more sunny for the future of solar power. With full certification as an Eligible Installer in New York State Energy Research and Development Authority's Photovoltaic Program, Invictus has custom-designed and installed a variety of solar arrays in Upstate New York. With the help of her brother, Jon Hand, a career journalist and grant writer, Christine will walk you through the options of solar, and handle all the paperwork involved in obtaining all the state, federal and local incentives available to you. For years, solar power was not an option. Today it is. Call today and find out why. More traditionally, Invictus is a bonded and insured electrical contractor capable of a wide range of public and private projects. Our main mechanic and solar installer, Mike Dertinger (Christine's husband), has enjoyed more than two decades of affililation with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 86, has his Master's License from the National Electrical Code and is certified in numerous safety courses. A better electrical mechanic you will not find, nor one who can give you the bidding advantage you need to win more contracts. We are located at the Bloomfield Industrial Arts Complex on Bennett Road in East Bloomfield, a former mink farm turned operational sawmill, turned incubator for some of the areas most innovative, environmentally friendly and successful business as diverse as makers of fine furniture and cabinetry, bakers of organic fudge and practitioner's of Reiki Healing. Come visit us at BIA where we can sit in a common area - fully power by the three solar arrays around the campus - and we can meet for a cup of coffee and discuss your project.
